I just want to use this opportunity to plug myself in. :) I have been busy here and there writing stuff. I've written for several publications and I was hella busy.
I just started a food blog! I'm so happy about it. It's another thing that keeps me going especially since several things happened while I was busy pumping up my writing career and many other things.

musique du jour: From The Start - Steve Cole
I'm just so stressed these past few months - couldn't sleep and all that. I've been listening to my old jazz CDs and once again, I'm addicted with the sound. Kindof relaxing and uplifting. My last favorite was Larry Carlton. Yeah yeah, he's old but he's awesome. My newest favorite is Steve Cole. Can't get enought sax. Here's one of his.
If you like this one, listen to "When I think of You." You'll wish you we're love - or getting laid, or whichever comes first. LOL

Paige is wet
I got wet. Literally. I can think of a few hundred ways to get wet. Regular ways, sexy ways, and all other kinds of ways but not this. Not almost swimming in dirty and stinky flood water. There was a typhoon in Manila and there was a creek near our village exit where water overflowed. Not a good sight. It stunk too. There were diapers, rotten food, and who knows what in that creek. People throw garbage in that creek. I will not swim in that. No F* way.
I was supposed to go to work this morning but well, getting wet totally changed my mind. Not to mention, I stunk worse than old cheese. No going to work for me. I'm staying home. Totally. I don't care that I'm not getting paid. I don't give a shi*. I'd rather stay home than go to work with a wet and stinky ass.
Mom: Oh, you're back.My Ma looked as if she was serious. My Da totally laughed over the phone. Crazy folks.
Me: Surpise, surprise. (I was being sarcastic)
Mom: I knew you forgot something. Here. *Hands me my swimsuit and goggles*

Patience is a virtue
I do what I want. I don't really wait. Why wait? One of my faults - very impatient. If I could pray for patience now, believe me I would. But my prayer would go like:
She asked me something like: "If you were to wait for your turn to ride a roller coaster, how long are you willing to wait?" I replied, "I can wait up to 2 hours if the ride is worth it."
Turns out, the amount of time I was willing to wait in line was the time I would spend in foreplay. One of my officemates answered 10 minutes, the other said she wouldn't want to wait. I guess I do have some patience. I guess patience is virtue afterall. Two hours, hmmm.
Lord, please give me patience right now!Beats the purpose of asking for some patience. A friend J has this book on Kokology - the study of self-discovery through some innocent situations.

He’s Just Not That Into You - If He’s Not Asking You Out
I just found an excerpt from the book "He's Just Not That Into You". Me and my friends discussed something like "How do you know if a guy likes you?". Well, I think we found an answer to that. Girls fear rejection too and well, if he doesn't ask you out, kill your hopes of ever being together with him 'cause he's not just that into you.
Here's the excerpt. Enjoy!
1. He’s Just Not That Into You - If He’s Not Asking You Out
Because If He Likes You, Trust Me, He Will Ask You Out
Many women have said to me, “Greg, men run the world.” Wow. That makes us sound pretty capable. So tell me, why would you think we could be incapable of something as simple as picking up the phone and asking you out? You seem to think at times that we’re “too shy” or we “just got out of something.” Let me remind you: Men find it very satisfying to get what they want. (Particularly after a difficult day of running the world.) If we want you, we will find you. If you don’t think you gave him enough time to notice you, take the time it took you to notice him and divide it by half.
The “Maybe He Doesn’t Want to Ruin the Friendship” Excuse
*** Oh, Paige. What does this tell you?! You are so hopeless. He doesn't like you! Go to bed. (I'm talking to myself. LOL)
Here's the excerpt. Enjoy!

The “Maybe He Doesn’t Want to Ruin the Friendship” Excuse
Dear Greg,FROM THE DESK OF GREG
I’m so disappointed. I have this friend that I’ve known platonically for about ten years. He lives in a different city and recently he was in town for work, so we met for dinner. All of a sudden it felt like we were on a date. He was completely flirting with me. He even said to me, as he was checking me out, “So, what, you’re working the whole ‘model thing’ now?” (That’s flirting, right?) We both agreed that we should get together again soon. Well, Greg, I’m disappointed because it’s been two weeks and he hasn’t called me. Can I call him? He might be nervous about turning the friendship into romance. Can’t I give him a nudge now? Isn’t that what friends are for?
Jodi
Dear Friendly Girl,
Two weeks is two weeks, except when it’s ten years and two weeks. That’s how long ago he decided whether or not he could date a model or a girl who looks like one. Can you be a pal and give him a nudge? Nudge away, friendster—but watch how fast that nudge doesn’t get a return phone call. And if your dinner/date did feel different to him, it’s been two weeks and he’s had time to think about it and decide he’s just not that into you. Here’s the truth: Guys don’t mind messing up a friendship if it could lead to sex, whether it be a “fuck buddy” situation or a meaningful romance. Go find someone that lives in your zip code who will be rocked to the core by your deep conversation and model looks.
I hate to tell you, but that whole “I don’t want to ruin the friendship” excuse is a racket. It works so well because it seems so wise. Sex could mess up a friendship. Unfortunately, in the entire history of mankind, that excuse has never ever been used by someone who actually means it. If we’re really excited about someone, we can’t stop ourselves—we want more. If we’re friends with someone and attracted to them, we’re going to want to take it further. And please, don’t tell me he’s just “scared.” The only thing he’s scared of—and I say this with a lot of love—is how not attracted to you he is.
*** Oh, Paige. What does this tell you?! You are so hopeless. He doesn't like you! Go to bed. (I'm talking to myself. LOL)

Romancing Paige: I like
I know this is so random but hey, it's a free world. This is just a random thought. Just a list of things of what I'd like to do and a couple of things that make me kilig. :)
- I like talking. There's no small talk with me. I like conversing, smiling, and laughing.
- I like walking around too - not if I'm wearing uncomfy high heels though (haha). Nonetheless, I find walking around relaxing. And if I'm out with you and you like me, maybe you should hold my hand! If it's cold out, maybe you should put your arms around me. I'm so kilig now! LOL
- I like hugging and cuddling. I'm such a hugger. But hey, do you know if you're feeling down, a hug can make you feel better! Hugs have healing power! They lower your stress levels and the good thing about them is that they're free! HUGS!
- I like head scratching. I think they're very relaxing. Makes me real sleepy.
- I like looking pretty. If you tell me I look nice, I would feel very flattered and kilig. LOL The heels and the nice clothes would be a waste if you wouldn't notice them, right?
- I like chocolates. My mom always comments what a chocoholic I am. But chocolates are antioxidants! They are also a good source of endorphins! If you're not getting laid, a totally good substitute. But if you're getting laid and having chocolates too, that's the better than awesome! That's epic. But that's just me.
- I like kissing and some other things. 'Nuff said.
- I like to cook. I have an excellent palette and I like cooking at home. I cook several dishes and I bake brownies, cookies, muffins, you name it.
Before the list gets too long, let me bid all of you nighty-night! I'm sleepy which is good 'cause I got to run tomorrow!

Loving your heels
Did I say I'm so excited about my Hong Kong-Macau trip next month? So so so excited! Party, sightseeing, and shopping! Heels! I love heels! I love wearing heels. Take it from me, there are indeed comfortable ones - even 3" to 4" ones. I love wearing them and walking in them. Maybe having sex with them on - which I haven't tried but totally open to (with the right person, hey). Isn't it exciting? I'm talking about Hong Kong now. LOL!

Two weeks later
I looked at my post two weeks ago. That one post. The post below this one dated August 20. About my relationship that didn't work out. We broke up mid-July actually. Was able to talk about it just after I realized it's so not worth it. Totally. So not going to be worth it. I'm happy now and that's enough. He's still in his miserable life, living a life he doesn't want. Whatever. It was falling apart that time anyway and I felt it was going to end. I tried to detach myself more and more every day so that when it happens it wouldn't hurt. It hurt nonetheless but letting go was the key. Yeah, yeah. Too much of this serious stuff.

he's gone, period
It's over. He's gone, I ended it. Let's call him X1. Cute.
Why do guys are very different during courtship and during a relationship? And why the hell do I fall in love so quick? Don't answer that. I'm just ranting. Good lord, blame it on the oxytocin levels and blame it the hormones. Whatever.
When we first started dating, it was sweet and nice. I didn't like him at first but what the hell, those initial feelings change. I felt secure around him and I felt that he did love me. After a while, I guess he changed. It all changed. He doesn't send messages as much, doesn't even call. There are 10,800 minutes in a week and you can't even use one to call or send a message? Fuck you.
Don't get me wrong. It's over now and I moved on. Yeah, I guess there's still some bitterness but it's just bitterness girls usually have for their exes. Just normal bitterness on a person for a relationship gone awry.
Let's end this post with some Cyanide and Happiness. 'Cause bitterness can be funny.
Awesome <3

Philippine Fashion Week: Louie Mamengo
Just last Sunday (May 15), me and my friend Erika went to Philippine Fashion Week. It's the last day and damn if we missed out. We went to the fashion show of L'oreal featuring designer Louie Mamengo. He already died, by the way. May he rest in peace. Let me share some pictures from Louie Mamengo's last collection. From what I know, he studied in Paris for quite sometime. L'oreal is a French company too by the way.
This was the first piece in the runway. I must admit I like this piece. It has this kindof Scottish feel to it and the whole ensemble seem to make it work. And Anne Curtis is really pretty.
From the left, Black Riding Hood, anyone? Well it looks really nice but I doubt if anyone can use this, except if you live in Paris. Second one, this garbage bag inspired gown is hideous. I don't want to insult the dead, just the gown. I mean, seriously? What person in the right mind would where a gown like that? That's my opinion. Other people would think differently but hey, it's a free world.
And that's us. From the left, RB, Erika and Me. I did acquire quite a tan, I went to the beach the day before that but that trip is saved for another post.
Photos by RB Carmen and Jomike Robina. And yes, I do site my Sources. :)

One month later
My last post was on April 15. I'm still the procatinator and lazy girl you've always known. Just so you know, all of a sudden, blogspot cannot be accessed at work. Why oh why? Beats me.
Don't ask how I can still post and rant about all this, aren't I at work? DON'T ASK.
I'll post some more stuff tomorrow. I promise!
Just a life update: (in a lazy, messed up, whatever-i-think-about order)
I enrolled in a gym. (yahoo!)
Tried to go back swimming but failed. (work, swim, home. So exhausting! The traffic is annoying.)
Still working at Reuters (ofcourse!).
Working part-time as a content writer
Gained weight. (That's why I enrolled in the gym!)
Gained weight but still pretty. (uhuh.)
Lashes fell off. (I'm currently walking around without my pretty lashes. Huhu)
Here's a cute dialogue from me and my co-worker:
"S: I'll pull your skirt up.
ME: It's alright, I'm wearing pretty panties. :)
The mad woman. LOL

American Adobo
Before our SME (Subject Matter Expert) went back to Minnesota, she asked us to teach her how to make Adobo. Since I'm always so excited about cooking and all that, I was one of the volunteers to teach her. We had an Adobo party a few days before she left.
That's M, L and Me doing some preps for the Adobo. Where was I looking? What the hell was I thinking? I got no idea either. Earth to Paige!!! LOL
The Adobo. Yummy, yummy! L (our SME) cooked it. We just did all the preparations but she did all the cooking. :)
Taken when our co-workers clicked the hotel room doorbell and surprised us with pictures. Not surprising for me but as usual, I'm still going ballistic! LOL!
The cooked Adobo along with the other food. Yum! Of course the Adobo was sold out. There was hardly any left!
We were really sad when L went back to Minnesota. Btw, my co-workers liked to eat lots and I swear my skirts are a little tighter than when I started working last January.

Anberlin concert, how awesome is awesome?
I forgot to post about the March 9 Anberlin Concert. It was truly one of the best. The band was amazing and the crowd was just as interactive. We we're all singing along, jumping and screaming to the songs. The crowd was chanting "Anberlin" just after the first song. You should see the band members' faces. They were smiling from ear to ear as the crowd chanted. They sang songs from each album - from Blueprints for the Black Market until the recent one. I was so happy 'cause I was able to watch the concert with my friends as well. I knew the band members had a great time because after they finished singing all their songs and went off stage, the crowd chanted "Anberlin, Anberlin" again. They came back on stage and sang two more songs and promised to come back to Manila again. Awesome.
Some pictures from the concert.
Credits to my friend, Jec for this picture. Look at Stephen go!
More from Jec. What crowd!
STOP! In the name of love! *Pic from Aika Beltran, Anberlin Fan.
Me with the gang just after the concert.
I had a hang-up after the concert. It was just a great and crazy night. Even Stephen (the vocalist) tweeted something the day after that made my heart swell.
How awesome is awesome?

My last post was in February and I apologize for not being able to post regularly. I'm not that busy - not really. I'm just plain lazy. As you know, I've started working last January. And since then, I had my foot ran over by a tricycle wheel and had my phone snatched. It all happened one week apart. Fun, fun.
I also bought new clothes, new shoes, and lots of other new stuff. You know me, I have that penchant for panic-buying cute things. I'd have hardly any money left just a few days after every pay day. Say, shopaholic? Just recently, I've opened a new account and I transfer some of my money every time I receive my pay so I could save some money.
All things considered, I've been happy with work. I've never been so thrilled to dress up everyday. My co-workers are funny too. They love to take pictures when we go out and good god, some of the shots were hilarious.
These are some stuff taken in the office.

K, I, and D. I dunno what kind of pose they we're making. Zombie pose? Well, D is just out of this world. If you get what I mean. He's just so out of it.
Sarah posing for the pictures and us in the background, being photo bombs. Is K doing ballet?
Us doing some sort of sexy pose. From the left, S giving you the I'll-seduce-you look; Z doing the I'll-kiss-you look; Me showing my cleavage; and K still busy doing the ballet

run over: tricycle over my foot.
Me and my co-workers have been training for days on end about loads of stuff on publishing law materials and I'm telling you if this isn't information overload, I dunno what is. I had the 10am-7pm shift before and I get home almost at 9pm. I swear, all I do when I get home is sleep. I have to eat early dinner at the office because if I get home without eating, I wouldn't be able to eat. I couldn't muster the appetite - or the strength. Starting today though, I have the 8am-5pm shift - office hours, yay! I could be home at almost 7pm, eat then do some stuff like check my facebook or blog, and then sleep. Yippeee!
Did I tell you about my day? A tricycle ran over my foot. Seriously. I have a huge gash on my foot. After my foot was ran over, I went back home. My mom was panicky and my brother was muttering stuff about how stupid I am. I cleaned my wound and asked my brother to bandage them. I even told him:

"You have to hurry! Male-late na'ko sa work!"I said that, I'm serious. After my wound got cleaned and bandaged, I hopped on a taxi and went to work. Its nothing now really. It's just a bother because it stings at the wrong moments and makes me limp a little bit. The worst part about it is: I couldn't wear my heels. It's too damn bad.

love and other drugs
I watched this flick a few days back and its awesome. Even though Gyllenhaal and Hathaway spent most of the time bumping and humping, I find the movie really romantic. Jamie (J Gyllenhaal) is a pharmaceutical rep for Pfizer. He meets Maggie (A Hathaway) while he's on the job in Ohio. Maggie is a free spirit who has Parkinson's disease (stage 1). On their first date, sparks fly and they have sex. Then they have some more sex and more sex, some more sex, and then fell in love. I swear, they spent most of the time in the movie naked. No wonder Taylor Swift got threated by A.H. Haha
Watch the film! Loads of sex and drugs. And romance, of course.

Anberlin, new shoes, FroYo and calamansi
Just a couple of days ago, I bought Anberlin concert tickets. It costs around 1500 php for a VIP ticket and I'm so excited for March 9! I've waited for this band to visit the Philippines for years!! I have all their songs in my iPod and I'm totally crazy about all their songs.
My bff J visited at home pay her ticket (I paid for hers when I bought mine). She told me she was going to the mall to develop some photos (She does photography as a hobby) and I tagged along. LOL! We to the mall and then somewhere else. I bought nice shoes and we ate Isaw and then Frozen Yogurt. Yum! If my boyfriend knew about this, he'd totally say "I told you so." He wants me to start trading and investing in the stock market. He sortof doesn't believe I can't control my shopping urges.
Ate, bili na po kayo ng calamansi, pancit nalang ang kulang.

Bonding with my girls
iJust a few weeks ago, me and my bffs had a get-together. Just a small one, nothing extravagant. We camped at E's new house. Brought a small cake, cooked pasta and ordered pizza. We also watched loads of movies. Haha It was better if we actually finished half the movies we load in the player. After twenty minutes, if the movie still didn't catch our attention, we change it into something else. Funny, that.
After the "movie marathon", we talked a lot and tried to catch up with each other. The good thing with old friends is that, whenever you get together, it's like you were never apart. We talked for hours. We started around 11pm and finished around 5am, I guess. If that's not catching up, then I dunno what is.

working girl
That's right. I'm now working at Thomson Reuters. Hurrah! It's my first week and it was all about getting to know the company, fitting in and stuff like that. Not to mention, getting to know some people also in my batch. On our first day, we had free lunch!! Yehey, buffet! I did not eat very much though. My new found girl friends were eating small portions and I was very shy to be the only one with large portions on the bunch. Haha! Takaw much?
From Tuesday to Friday, I brought lunch to the office. But I go down during lunch time to watch my friends smoke. I don't smoke; smoking is not for me. I could go party 'til dawn and drink alcohol but I'll have to pass the smokes my friends.
I was thinking I should go back swimming or do some sort of exercise again because I'm noticing my skirts are getting tighter. I love my curves but I don't need to be even more curvy. I hate the word "fat". Use it it my presence and describe me as such and you'll be finding yourself under the skirts of your momma.
Did I say I had yogurt ice cream today? I had Vanilla yogurt with granola and strawberries. Simply delicious!
